On the evening of June 21st, over 500 MIT students, alumni and families descended on Walker Memorial to get making. Teams spread out inside and filled the decks outside Walker making all sorts of cool projects from paper airplane launcher to battery powered trebuchets. Each team received a bag of maker goodies and got to work.
The event, hosted by MIT Project Manus, the Alumni Office and the Martin Trust Center, is part of the ongoing efforts at MIT to cultivate and grow the maker community.
It is amazing what you get when you gather so many enthusiast makers in a room, provide them with some food and supplies and let them go wild. Watch the video below for a glimpse of the evening of Let's Make.
